Youth Leader: Jeff Jackson The Youth Ministry is extremely important to us at First Southern. We spend a lot of time and resources so as to help the young people come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior and to develop into Christians that God will be pleased.
The young people seem to always be doing something. The primary bible study opportunities are of course Sunday School, Discipleship Training on Sunday and Wednesday Evening Bible Study. The youth are involved in drama, music, sports and benevolence activities.
Some of the major events each year is summer camp at Falls Creek, YEC (Youth Evangelism Conference), VBS (Vacation Bible School) and many other events, such as, Lock-Ins, Friday Night Lights (volleyball) during the summer, also ACTS (After church to Somewhere) Destination Unknown, and such as basketball, volleyball, and meals.
